Edward Welch, born in Philadelphia, PA, earned his Masters of Business Administration from Arcadia University in 2008, spending time on it's Glenside campus, as well as London, England and the Nature Isle of Dominica. Ed earned his Bachelors of Business Administration in January 2003 from Temple University spending his time there between their Pennsylvania campuses in Philadelphia and Ambler, as well as a semester abroad at their campus in Rome, Italy. Ed also earned his Associates Degree in Business Administration in January 2000 from Montgomery County Community College in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania. To pay for his tuition for both of these schools, Ed worked as a carpenter building custom homes and additions for Sambrick Builders, Inc, now located in Schwenksville, Pennsylvania. On the evenings when there were no classes Ed also worked as a barkeep at Campbell's Place, a locally renowned eatery in the Chestnut Hill section of Philadelphia. Near the end of his Temple education, while working at a local restaurant, Ed met his current business associate Harry H. Higgins, III. Ed enrolled in the Real Estate courses that Harry taught at Temple University's Real Estate Institute in Center City Philadelphia and began as an apprentice to the appraisal trade. A short time later, Ed progressed to become a Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, as well as the manager of the organization. Ed also progressed to become a licensed Real Estate Broker in Pennsylvania and a Real Estate Salesperson in New Jersey. Ed has been lucky enough to gain a wide and varied experience in a short time by working in many different aspects of the Real Estate Industry with many different clients ranging from individuals to banking institutions to government agencies. Ed currently lives in Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania, a small village town in Montgomery County, just across the Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia border. In early 2004, he purchased a 145 year old colonial house that is said to be both the product and home of the carpenter for the original Stotesbury Estate. A year later, after complete renovation and keeping the original woodwork and integrity, this house became a home for Ed and his family. In 2007, Ed took over the Higgins Organization and is now President and Owner of Higgins & Welch Appraisers, LLC and Higgins & Welch Real Estate, Inc, as well as Welch Real Estate, LLC.
